. I felt able to double and, after the A lead, North (the wife) tabled her cards silently but still managed to eloquently communicate her opinion of hubby's bidding. As red suits were lead at every opportunity South eventually ran out of trumps and made just 6 tricks for 1100 to us. BUT - was this a good result? 6 is a make unless North finds a heart lead, but 6 by East may or may not make (best defence I think always beats it**) if an inspired declarer plays for a 5-0 trump break from the start.**Any double dummy analysts out there?
19/03/2026: Well the DDA shows that 6, 6 and 6NT are all makeable from the East side.
