In our methods 2club should have shown constructive Stayman. He ought to have signed off in 2spade via transfer ......... my fault for thrusting a new convention onto a partner just before the off. I felt 3NT would avoid the possibility of an embarrassing pass over 2NT, and 3NT ended the bidding.
