It's a straightforward choice between a simple raise to 3NT and a forcing 3heart. This latter alternative classically shows a suitability for a trump contract and gives East the choice between going on to 4heart with a five card heart suit or reverting to 3NT. So it's 3heart from West then.. I'm not so sure, with merely three small hearts, useful intermediates and an extra trick to find in 4heart I wouldn't be at all surprised if many opted for the pragmatist's choice of 3NT. Any rubber bridge players out there with an opinion?

At the table, West bid 3heart but it made absolutely no difference because East reverted to 3NT anyway! How do you play from the East hand on club5 lead? North plays club2 on dummy's queen.
