Declarer, no doubt hoping for a switch, had unblocked diamondQ from dummy and ducked in hand, but West continued his good work by following up with another diamond - the jack. Declarer won, played diamond10 and another to establish the last diamond while still retaining clubA as an entry to hand. West exited carefully with heartJ and thereafter ducked when South led a spade towards dummy. Eight tricks were the most that South could muster so Sukoneck and his partner scored a deserved +50
