It always seems futile to me to make a bid like 2diamond with this hand. You've already bid your suit and, indeed, your hand. Partner will strain to support over an intervening double, so unless you have something additional to offer, like a good club suit, it must be right to keep quiet, particularly at this vulnerability.

You get off to a flawless start by kicking off with diamondAKJ after partner has shown a doubleton. On diamondJ declarer rather surprisingly throws club2 from dummy and partner throws club7.
