From the bidding East has the bulk, and possibly all, of the missing high cards but unfortunately there is still room for one key card in West's hand, and heartK is the one you must fear. The contract is safe if West's high card is either diamondA or clubK but Reese's new principle said in that in cases like these you must assume the worst and plan accordingly.

The "obvious" line to win spadeK and take the heart finesse will inevitably lead to a diamond switch and defeat, so what could done if the layout is like that shown?
