Nothing clever required here - you'd already scored a goal if had decided to double 2heart! After South unerringly won trick two with spadeA, North won the diamond switch with the ace, cashed heartQJ10 and exited with a diamond. Declarer faced two unpalatable alternatives of establishing North-South winners by cashing diamondQ or leading away from his clubs. A club was won by North who again exited with a diamond which forced declarer to lead away from his clubs. Again.

Declarer lost one spade, three trumps, one diamond and four clubs - four light and minus 800!
