At the table declarer ruffed the club in dummy, led a heart to the king, ruffed another club ruff followed by heartA and another heart from dummy. Poor North decided to play safe by ruffing high and duly presented West with a trump trick.

Surely the best line is to ruff just one club, draw trumps, cash spadeA and attempt to establish the hearts with a single ruff. If that fails, lead spade9 for take a repeatable spade finesse.
