My bidding judgement is renowned as being "questionable" at best, but I would speculate that South could choose from 3club, 4club, 4diamond and possibly one or two other more esoteric options. I would personally choose 4diamond if I could be sure that it was forcing. The actual sequence is unknown, but modern gadgets were used, e.g. exclusion RKCB would work well here.

Eventually you might reach the lofty heights of 7diamond, but the good thing is that partner will have to play it!

How would you advise him to proceed on club8 lead?
