My correspondent decided to pass, and the bidding went pass, 4diamond, pass. I shall assume that you also bid 4heart and this becomes the final contract. I suspect that most readers would have bid 4heart in the first place, but perhaps they would have preferred to play in 3NT!

Enough of conjecture and back to 4heart. West leads spade8 and you get off to an impeccable start by winning in dummy.
