This is the six card end position with declarer requiring three more tricks and North to play. On the club from dummy, South plays high and West should duck. The defence should prevail now unless someone does something really stupid, but even if West decides to win clubA immediately the defence should still beat the contract.

Bill tells me that North (!) played 3NT at the table - presumably North opened a brave 1NT, or possibly N-S were playing a strong NT so North opened 1diamond and followed with a 1NT rebid. Anyway 3NT went off on a heart lead. Maybe declarer should have played for an East diamondQ9 doubleton - my friends tell me it's about 1%!!
