Whenever you listen to bridge stories, you find that the narrator is usually involved in about 75% of them. Fair enough. The narrators can be divided into two groups. The first will say " .. I spotted the winning line before the opening lead". and "then I caught West in a double ruffing squeeze and " When he discarded a diamond I crossed to dummy to transfer the menace because he was marked with K9754." etc etc. You get the gist? The second group of narrators will say " I failed to bid with my 2 opener".there were eleven top tricks so I went off in 1". I found the only sequence of 10 successive cards to hand declarer the contract."
