Against the small matter of 6diamond doubled, East led a top spade and switched to a small trump. Declarer ruffed a club (East failing to unblock) and led a heart, so East went up with heartA to play two rounds of diamonds. West was now becoming sympathetic to declarer's plight and discarded two clubs. Eventually North made four diamonds, a club ruff in hand and two hearts.

Only -1400.

So which bid was worst. 2NT by South? 4heart by West? 5heart by East? 6diamond by North?
