This time it was North who made the two-suited overcall but once again East-West who got their knickers in a twist. West's 4diamond was badly judged and eventually South had the delicious task of applying the axe to 5diamond.

On the spade lead, declarer rose with the ace and played two rounds of trumps with South splitting his honours. heartQ was covered by the king and ace, and the spade switch was won by South. On the heart return declarer finessed heart9. North won heart10 and gave South a heart ruff. South switched back to spades and the defenders still had two trumps and a club to come. North-South +800
