At other tables North-South had a free run and did much better. Witness Sylvan and Sundelin of Sweden.

South's Stayman enquiry inhibited West from bidding and North-South reached an excellent 5club. Despite a singleton spade and holding trump control West was unable to access his partner's hand and the game deservedly made.
