At many tables South made the "obvious" 4spade bid and went down by the "obvious" one trick.

At another table East-West were playing the multi (as in -coloured 2diamond). This produced an even better result after North showed a 15-17 No trump and East competed in hearts. South was a bit stuck and settled for 3NT. That went two off.
