Declarer decided that East's double was indicative of a spade holding headed by spadeAQ, so he took the trump finesse, drew two more round of trumps and cashed all the hearts throwing a spade from hand. He then exited with a small spade from dummy to East's queen. What could East do? To continue spades would allow declarer to establish the suit, so East exited with a club, whereupon a winning finesse and a ruff in dummy brought home the revolting slam.
