West has obviously led from spade8x and East has played low to retain a link with his partner. With the opposition holding heartA and spade communications, they are certain to get their ruff, so you must get the clubs going for a diamond discard. The danger in playing a trump now is that the defence will win, take a ruff and profitably attack diamonds before clubA is knocked out. clubK is won by East's ace who switches to diamond10.
Too late!! You can now win, cash the clubs to ditch a diamond and finally turn to trumps. You can deduce that West has heartA because otherwise East would have opened the bidding, so it will be best to lead small towards dummy. If West flies in with the ace as expected, after they have taken their ruff heartJ will still be in dummy to guard against a trump promotion for East.
