One of the great problems with the classic Acol 2 opener is that it "Never crops up". It seems hardly worth while developing a complicated set of responses that get used once a year. Nevertheless, the North-South pair in today's deal had specifically discussed what they would do and, lo and behold, it duly did crop up that very night.
