At the table West led heartQ. You can see what the effect was. East has two sure entries along with his hearts and his partner's vital lead gave the defence the tempo they required. When declarer discovered the 4-1 diamond break, he continued without inspiration and eventually went three off to give East-West a well deserved 150. At another table, somebody did not show the insight as our first West and led a low diamond. This led to plus 400 for North-South.
