With so little in your hand, it's slightly surprising that partner has not bid. After all, South is marked with 6 to 9 points and North about 18 or 19, so partner will have somewhere between 7 and 11. But the vulnerability is very unfavourable, and as he would have to bid at the two level, partner has probably been very sensible in keeping quiet. You can rule out a club lead because partner is very unlikely to have a good enough suit opposite your singleton, and even if he did have a suit such as AQJ10x, he might have doubled for a lead. A spade is also pointless - your suit is weak and you have no entries.

No, you have to find partner's suit. Which is it?
