The following week, Alan was playing at a congress, and his two old lady opponents were arguing over who was to blame for their bad board. Finally, one of them suggested sarcastically
"Why don't we ask the opponents what they think?"
"The opponents know nothing!!" roared the other.
At that very moment the T.D. leaned over to add "Alan, congratulations on being picked for England.". Cue stunned silence.
