The Camrose Trophy is the annual Home International series played between England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Competition to get into the English team is very fierce, and these days you have to be a marathon runner rather than a sprinter - the selection process is a gruelling affair of several weekends duration.
Many years ago, one was not required to play quite so many boards, and if you were one of the existing elite, you could be exempted directly to the final weekend.
