High Level Decisions

In the olden days, when real men assessed their hands with honour tricks and real women had a title like Lady Plunkett-Hyphen-Money, it was all so different. Not only could you get away with "I'm sorry partner, I couldn't come in at the two level with my 17 points - I didn't have any seven card suits", partner would agree and commiserate. Sometimes competitive bidding was virtually non-existent or highly ineffective, and this seemed to apply irrespective of who had the balance of the points.

Today's deals comes from the olden days, when men were men, and ladies were dummy.............. but for some of my more chauvinistic acquaintances it's a case of "No change there, then."
