~Roman Blackwood

This hand is a good example of where a 4-4 minor suit slam, often easy to miss, theoretically plays so much better than 6NT. The declarer was Liz McGowan, who now represents Scotland in the wider world, due to the break up of the British Bridge League. Liz was playing with Catherine Gerard and they produced a short, well judged auction with the club fit coming to light early on. The board has been rotated for convenience.
