If the diamonds are 2-2 and the spades 4-3 then you will be able to establish the long spade for a discard. Alternatively you might prefer a double club finesse hoping to find at least one of the missing club honours with South - highly likely on the bidding. Of course there is also the potential for a cross-ruff.
