At the table South ducked at trick one, East won with spade10 and switched to heart7. A low club was led from dummy and East flashed in with clubK to lead heart8. With East looking like a man with three hearts South was forced to play the ten, so West won to lead a second spade. Eventually the defence scraped together five tricks and scored a hairy 100.
