Although 2diamond would have probably led to a diamond contract, South bid 2heart and North plumped for the heart game. You can see what the additional problem was - declarer had the hand with four trumps and the defence began by threatening to shorten his trumps immediately. How would you play when West's leads a low club? East wins with the ace and continues with the king.
