Although you could cash four black winners and cross-ruff, a better line would be to draw just one trump (in case North has something like spade9 heart6 diamondAQJ10732 clubQ754) and ruff a spade in the dummy. There is still an entry to hand via a trump and twelve tricks are assured.

All very hypothetical, but all very real in the other room .
