Unsure of the way forward, West bid 4club, but would you have played 3club in this situation as forcing? It's always worth a chat with partner when the oppo are playing an unusual system.

Anyway, after that East assumed that his partner had either a fit jump or a splinter, so with a minimum overcall East bid 4spade. West raised to 5spade (bid slam with good trumps) and East decided that if West couldn't bid the slam himself then that would be high enough. But imagine .
