East opened 1spade with his rather nice hand but West responded 2diamond as might have been expected. East's 2heart was automatic and West raised invitationally to 3heart. After a series of cue bids East bid the slam when West could not bid 5diamond, thereby pinpointing good major suit values.

It was a good contract, but South made life awkward with a lead of diamondJ. How would you have played?
