At the table West made a very bold jump to 5club, knowing that her partner would be almost certain to have a solid club suit for her 3spade bid, but after seeing dummy she surely regretted not bidding a cheeky 3NT after all. Nevertheless it could have been a ridiculous contract and West had to concentrate on making 5club, even though it had only a slim chance.
