# knowing partner is silenced

East passed as before and in his enthusiasm JA passed as North!! The penalty for the Pass out of turn was that North had to Pass at his first turn. Knowing the penalty imposed on his partner South tried a tactical 3club which worked wonderfully when West, naturally enough, bid 3NT. Everybody passed and when the smoke had cleared 3NT was six down for one of the more unusual flat boards.

Editorial Note: Please accept my apologies if the bidding is not displayed in the odd way it happened but I hadn't catered for showing bids out of turn in the original design!
