At the table declarer ruffed the second spade, East playing low, and crossed to heartA. A spade ruff was followed by heartQ ruffed, club to the ace, heart ruff, clubK. Now the contract was at a crossroads and South decided to lead spadeK from dummy and throw his last club on East's ace. Instead of switching to a trump East made the bad error of continuing with a third club and now South was able to cross-ruff for the last four tricks.

So what was the better line that South admitted he had missed?
