North was my partner Nick Stevens. His 6spade panicked West into cashing heartA at trick one. It was the only lead to give the slam away. On a neutral diamond lead declarer can cash spadeA and lead a heart. When East doesn't fly in with the ace South may decide to duck, but with the spades breaking badly there are still not enough entries for declarer to establish the long heart for the vital club discard.
