At the table found the vital diamond switch into the jaws of dummy's strength. Without any further entries to dummy, declarer was forced to cash dummy's winners and hope for the best, but when South ruffed the third round North's defence had its just reward. The best, and impregnable, contract was 6NT - not easy to bid.

I did wonder what North would have thought if declarer had started with a void diamond and two clubs?
