West made his first good decision when he put in the jack. Sometimes as declarer you get a feel for what is right and it seemed to West that North had probably led from length, making the finesse a worthwhile shot. Besides, with this contract a few things had to be right. Anyway, at trick two West ran heart10 to North's king.
