. . . East found the much less damaging lead of spadeQ. Now it was quite attractive for declarer to start the hearts from the top - the late diamond entries would be retained. When the king dropped North crossed to dummy with a diamond, finessed heart9 and drew trumps. Thirteen tricks!!
