For whatever reason East bid 7NT and South doubled with some degree of assurance.

So, instead of plus 2470 for 7heart doubled making (West's redouble was both unnecessary and ill conceived), East-West scored minus 1700. Very expensive, but not quite at the same level of my own record performance when turning plus 1460 into minus 3400 (see 20/12/2001)
