The dilemma is that you want to do two things.
a) show your balanced shape
b) show your support for diamonds.
It's never seems particularly important to have the machinery to do this ... except when this type of hand occurs! Our own system includes an agreement that, as a 2NT rebid is forcing to game, 3NT shows exactly this hand type - an essentially balanced hand with a four card fit for partner.
