At our table South's good judgement ended with +460 when East led a spade.
At table two North-South reached the good 6club and West led diamondA. Although this allowed South to restrict his diamond losers to just one, when West did not switch to a spade the unkind heart/club splits meant that South had to lose a heart trick or heart ruff. North-South -50.
At table three 6club was again reached, but a spade was led and South's diamondKJ disappeared. North-South +920.
At table four .. mmm, apart from saying that North-South lost 300, we'd best not dwell on table four. Suffice it to say that it was a night of broken records.
