Double dummy analyser: makeable contracts

Dble End
A singleton heart is very much the winner - East can win and return heart3 for a ruff. The indicated club return allows East back in and a second heart ruff gives East-West +500. That's the theory, but unfortunately West made the obvious let's-have-a-look-at-dummy lead of spadeA. Declarer ruffed, drew trumps and played a heart to the king. When East continued spades (why???) South pitched dummy's club on heart10 and claimed an overtrick.

That was small fry compared to the goings-on in the other room ..
