South won the spade switch in hand and, fearing the defensive move towards building a spade trick, started on the diamonds in the hope of a establishing a winner for spade discard. East won South's diamond10 with the ace and continued the spade attack, so declarer continued with diamond winners. East had to ruff diamondQ or South's spadeJ would have disappeared, so declarer over-ruffed, ruffed a club and led another diamond winner. Once again East had to ruff low, but this time when South over-ruffed he was able to crash the defensive heart honours! 3heart made for +140.
