He won in hand with clubK and led a small diamond to dummy's ten. Look at North - he's completely fixed. Whichever red suit he leads (this he must do even if he unblocks spadeAK), East finesses and is able to use clubA as an entry to finesse in the other red suit. Very neat.

At other tables East clumsily rose with clubA at trick one and led diamond10 through North, who covered. Declarer had no entry to dummy and no chance of success. Where South led a heart a few Easts were forced to get it right - a low diamond at trick two made life very easy when South showed out.
