The choice is must be between double and 4, for pass is surely out of the question. 3NT would be a possibility if the vulnerability was reversed, but here West's spades could easily be headed by AKQ. My personal choice would be a limp 4 - to double would you have given you a nightmare decision over 4 from North.

At the table North passed South's reopening double and South must have wondered whether 3NT would have been OK after all. Anyway, North leads J, so over to you.
