A trump must be right here - surely a cross-ruff is likely to be South's best chance of a respectable haul of tricks. West atoned for his earlier indiscretion by leading spadeQ. Dummy won and South ruffed a heart in hand. Returning to dummy with diamond10, a second heart was ruffed and declarer started the diamonds. When West ruffed in immediately declarer had to lose three trumps and two top clubs.East-West +500
