You are just about Double Dummy now - West must surely have seven spades for his 4spade bid and East must be 1-2-5-5 - so here is the full hand. Of course you ruff the spade high and East discards a diamond. As Paul says, it should be obvious (single and double dummy) that you can't make this hand on a cross-ruff. Yes, you can ruff four clubs in hand but you cannot ruff any spades in the dummy as you will promote East's heartJ. Also, with a cross-ruff you will never be able to cash the spadeQ anyway.
