My thanks go to the eagle-eyed Gary Fischman who spotted two rather glaring errors in my commentary of the deal on Friday 12th September. After a ruffing a heart in dummy declarer had, of course, led a club towards K3 in hand. East has to duck this and now declarer runs the trumps. The other error was in the end-game layout - fixed thanks to Gary.

Today's deal comes from a pairs night at the Stafford Bridge Club. I am reliably informed that this club, that plays at the Staffordshire County Showground, is a very friendly one that welcomes visitors. There is plenty of parking, a bar, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The deals are "Duplimated", the scoring is computerised and results are normally available within minutes.
