No! When West makes the forgivable error of continuing with hearts at trick two and declarer ducks, East should realise that South must have heartA and so must switch to a low club!!!! This is not so far fetched as it sounds - the bidding has told East that South's values must be limited. Anyway, after winning with clubK, West finally gets the message and switches to a spade giving his partner time to win and exit safely before any end-play can take effect. So 3diamond is indeed beatable, but declarer can give himself an excellent chance against a less-than-vigilant defence.
