Presumably partner knows what the heart situation is and it looks highly unlikely that there are any more red winners for the defence. How would partner have played with an original four card club holding like clubxx32? With this holding many partnerships favour starting with the second highest and following on with the third highest. So can partner have a doubleton club? Surely it cannot cost to find out!
